Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The celebrated video game developer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on this past Sunday, according to.
