Fresh particulars have surfaced about the shocking passing of acclaimed film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

A source indicates referencing a person close to the family, a practitioner scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after being unable to gain access the house. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Subsequently, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, along with the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently being held and is ineligible for bail.
