Miami have served up a varied performances this year so the jury's out on if this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference teams, but could they be the best?

Traveling to the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for top seed but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the schedule

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two matchups with the five and four Jaguars to face. There's a long way to go but the door is available for a shock top seed in the AFC

Both squads with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different eight and two teams are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who both scored forty points to reach 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the two in Los Angeles

Each could realistically be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning field goal with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score

The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season to date
